2019 Range Rover vs Range Rover Sport Performance Specs
With the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport’s performance, you’ll get three things:
- Energetic engines
- Tranquil ride
- Nimble handling
They each come with an array of engine options that are all quite powerful. For example, the Range Rover comes standard with a 3.0L V6 engine that delivers 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Then, with the Range Rover Sport, you have a 3.0L V6 that puts out 355 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.
In addition, both models are available as a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). With the combination of a gas engine and electric motor, you’ll get an all-electric range of up to 29 miles in both automobiles.* As a result, you can go on all kinds of excursions before needing to break for more fuel.
While these Land Rover models perform well on-road, off-road is where they really shine. In fact, they come with lots of features to help make this kind of traveling easier. These include:
- Electronic Air Suspension: It quickly changes the vehicle’s height, allowing crosslinking of the diagonal wheels. This is to help keep all four wheels on the ground on very uneven surfaces.
- Two-speed transfer box system: A 50:50 torque split between the front and rear axles helps prevent wheel slip from occurring. The result is precise speed and control when going off-road.
There’s also Terrain Response® and Terrain Response® 2 in these vehicles. The first feature lets you manually choose between several driving modes (seven in the Range Rover and five in the Range Rover Sport). They include Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud & Ruts, and Sand. With the second feature, the appropriate mode is automatically chosen for you.
Interior Design & Amenities
Just as these SUVs are fun to drive, they’re equally enjoyable to ride in. After all, they both have plush and comfortable cabins with lots of room for five people.
Leather seating comes standard in both models. Plus, heated front seats are standard in the 2019 Range Rover and available in the 2019 Range Rover Sport. They each offer ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. You’ll also find ventilated rear seats in the Range Rover. No matter what the temperature may be like outside, getting comfortable is a cinch.
Quad-zone automatic climate control is another feature that you could get in either Land Rover vehicle. If everyone has different preferences on cabin temperature, this feature is sure to keep everyone happy.
Furthermore, the Range Rover offers ‘Hot-Stone’ massage functions for both the front and rear seats. If you’re looking for a heightened sense of relaxation, be sure to take advantage of this available feature!
