No matter where your adventure leads you, the Land Rover Defender is equipped to get you there. The Terrain Response® 2 system lets drivers choose from one of several drive modes to adjust performance depending on the terrain. The feature optimizes the chassis systems, engine, gearbox, and center differential.
Terrain Response® 2 is capable of navigating the following terrain:
Gravel, Grass, Snow, Mud, Ruts, Sand, and Rocks. This utilitarian feature can even get you across water with Wading Mode. This means it is possible to drive the new 2020 Land Rover Defender on soft, sandy ground, on uneven terrain, muddy, waterlogged or rutted ground, in icy conditions, and through up to 35.4 inches of water.
Drivers can allow Terrain Response® 2 to automatically self-adjust in the 2020 Land Rover Defender. The Auto feature will let the vehicle sense and adjust to the appropriate terrain setting. Off-Roaders can easily manually override the system to select a specific mode. No matter which option you choose, all it takes for you to get your preferred terrain setting is a twist of a button.
